Crowley forced to settle for three seconds on return

Jim Crowley had to settle for three seconds as he was foiled in his efforts to return a winner after his fall at Kempton in October.
All three runners-up were well-supported, two of whom were sent off short-priced favourites, with the champion coming closest on the last of three when Adalene was beaten a neck by 50-1 newcomer Dream Love in the 1m4f maiden after holding a clear lead into the final furlong.
"It's nice to be back and I am fitter than I thought I would be," said Crowley. "I've been riding out for my sister-in-law (Amanda Perrett) and mucking out.
