Ben Coen rode a double for the second consecutive day when partnering the Johnny Murtagh-trained Mocking to victory before finishing off with a win on Nancee Spain, who charged 15 lengths clear in the closing 1m4f handicap for Daniel McLoughlin.

Coen rode a double for his boss Murtagh at Naas on Sunday, including Listed honours on 33-1 shot Onemoredance, and was in a similar vein of form, galvanising even-money shot Mocking to a neck victory in the 1m2½f maiden, with his mount getting off the mark at the tenth attempt.

"He's been beaten by a few very well-handicapped horses, such as Serious Contender," Coen told Racing TV. "We were probably disappointed but, when you look at it now, it's hard to knock his form.

"I made the running on him before and he didn't enjoy it, but when the second horse came to him today, he dug it out well."

Coen finished off in style on 11-4 shot Nancee Spain, who never saw another rival, blitzing the field from the front. It was McLoughlin's sixth winner of the campaign in his second season of training.

Glenroyal lords it

The progressive Glenroyal landed his third win of the season in the 1m2½f rated race as he powered five and a half lengths clear of Refreshment, justifying 8-11 favouritism for owner Ray Grehan and trainer Joseph O'Brien.

Winning rider Dylan Browne McMonagle maintained his four-winner advantage over Colin Keane in the jockeys' championship after Keane had got on the board with Spanish Temptress for Richard O'Brien earlier on the card.
