'I felt pressure, I haven't slept for about two weeks' - Welsh wizards grab a race not usually for export in spectacular style

See, it can be done. At the start of a week that is likely to end with an Irishman winning the British trainers' title for the second year in a row, rolling on from 20 Irish winners at Cheltenham and an Irish 1-2-3 in the Grand National, a pair of Welsh wizards ransacked Ireland's richest jumps race in front of a crowd of 16,577.
Haiti Couleurs didn't just win the BoyleSports Irish Grand National, he totally and utterly dominated it. He jumped upsides the leaders at the first and was never worse than second the whole way. He dictated the race from start to finish and Sean Bowen had so much horse underneath him crossing the line that he thought he must have miscounted the number of laps.
"I was wondering if there was another circuit I was going that well," Bowen said with that infectious little giggle of his. "He's just improved and improved and it was good to do it for Becca as well. When I was champion jockey I thought that would top the lot, but you still want those big winners. It's unbelievable."
