Who is on a collision course with Whirl in the Nassau Stakes? Day three confirmations and entries for Glorious Goodwood revealed

See The Fire could face a strong three-year-old contingent headlined by Whirl in a top-class generational clash in next Thursday's Qatar Nassau Stakes (3.05) at Glorious Goodwood.
Whirl, who got her Group 1 breakthrough in the Pretty Polly Stakes last month, remains in contention for the day three highlight. She is one of two who stood their ground for Aidan O'Brien, with the Ballydoyle trainer also keeping in Prix de Diane runner-up Bedtime Story.
Dual Oaks heroine Minnie Hauk was among four scratchings made by O'Brien at Friday's confirmations stage, while Falmouth Stakes winner Cinderella's Dream and Estrange were taken out.
Coronation Stakes heroine Cercene has been left in and could give popular trainer Joseph Murphy another Group 1 winner following her 33-1 Royal Ascot shock.
Leading the older fillies and mares is See The Fire. The Andrew Balding-trained four-year-old was runner-up a year ago and bids to avenge that defeat, having finished third in the Prince of Wales's Stakes on her last start.
Last year's Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Fallen Angel also stood her ground, while Running Lion and French Raider Dare To Dream could complete the line-up.
On the undercard, the rapidly improving Merchant is likely to step into Group company for the first time in the HKJC World Pool Gordon Stakes (2.30).
The Highclere-owned three-year-old was mooted as a dark horse for the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes following his win in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot, but is set to contest the Group 3 instead. His rivals could include Wimbledon Hawkeye and Windlord.
July Stakes winner Zavateri has also been given the option of the Markel Richmond Stakes (1.55). The Eve Johnson Houghton-trained juvenile is entered in the Vintage Stakes on the opening day, but was among 15 entries in the Group 2 over six furlongs.
