Apprentice Ryan lays down the gauntlet in bid for apprentice title

Rossa Ryan recorded his 70th career at Leicester on Monday and showed no signs of slowing down when guiding home the topically-named Brexitmeansbrexit to win for boss Richard Hannon.
The race to be crowned champion apprentice is starting to take shape and, while he still trails Jason Watson, Ryan remains in the hunt.
He said: “The title is always on the back of my mind and I’m working towards that – for now I’m keeping my head down, staying focused and we’ll see at the end of the year.
