Golden Sixty wins star-studded Stewards' Cup at Sha Tin

Golden Sixty bounced back in style under Vincent Ho following a clash of the titans in the Stewards' Cup at Sha Tin.
The seven-year-old recorded his seventh top-level success when finishing a length clear of the short-priced favourite Romantic Warrior.
California Spangle, who beat Golden Sixty by a neck in the Hong Kong Mile in December, finished a further length behind in third.
"That was special," said Ho. "Romantic Warrior is very good but he was dropping back in trip and took a bit more time to pick up.
"That was an advantage for us as I believe Golden Sixty still has the best turn of foot out of the three horses over a mile."
The Group 1 was billed as a race for the ages between Hong Kong's three finest horses, all of whom feature prominently in the world rankings.
Only four horses were deemed superior on turf than Golden Sixty and Romantic Warrior, while California Spangle was rated 1lb below them on 123.
Now successful in 23 of his 27 starts, Golden Sixty won this race in 2021 and has long been viewed as a flagbearer for Hong Kong racing.
