Aidan O'Brien intending to stick to York plan with Delacroix despite major Sussex Stakes price cut for Eclipse winner

Aidan O'Brien has revealed the Juddmonte International at York remains the plan for Delacroix despite notable ante-post support for the Coral-Eclipse winner in the Sussex Stakes market on Thursday.
Delacroix was cut to 5-1 (from 16) with William Hill for the Sussex Stakes in a market headed by 4-7 favourite Field Of Gold.
O'Brien, however, intends to run Henri Matisse, who was beaten three and a half lengths by Field Of Gold in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot, in the mile Group 1 at Glorious Goodwood.
He told the Mirror on Thursday: "The plan for Delacroix and Camille Pissarro is that they are both on the York programme. Henri Matisse will go for the Sussex.”
Delacroix has not run over a mile since his juvenile campaign last year and will stick to 1m2f for the Juddmonte International at York's Ebor festival on August 20.
He could clash with Field Of Gold on the Knavesmire, with the Juddmonte star priced as the 7-4 favourite and Delacroix available as 4-1 second favourite alongside Ombudsman.
Prix du Jockey Club winner Camille Pissarro is also set to join Delacroix at York on the back of finishing fourth behind his stablemate at Sandown last time.
