Don't give up on this beaten Fairyhouse favourite - but this novice chaser was the one who really caught my eye
Nick Watts reviews the weekend's action with an eye for future ante-post plays

The Champion Hurdle gets more interesting by the week. There were two stunning performances over the weekend from Lossiemouth and Sir Gino, and I think the younger brigade now have the edge over the previous winners.
Sir Gino was first into bat in Saturday's Fighting Fifth and looked very good, making a mockery of the betting, which suggested Mystical Power might provide him with a stern test.
Likewise, Lossiemouth toyed with the dual winner of the Hatton's Grace, Teahupoo, breezing past him after the last as if he wasn't there. That said, Teahupoo probably needs further as he gets older, so it wasn’t a big surprise that Lossiemouth has more pace.
