Bold Plan proves effective to maintain Ewing's record

Bitterly cold conditions greeted racegoers who braved the winter weather at Kirkistown, but they were warmed up by a fine Mark O’Hare double on the day.

O’Hare’s opening winner came in the Dennison Commercials Ltd four-year-old maiden on the Warren Ewing-trained Bold Plan.

The son of Jeremy was prominent throughout and, taking up the lead from halfway, was never headed thereafter.
