British interest at the US Open ramps up on Monday as Jack Draper makes his return to the singles court against Argentina's Federico Agustin Gomez.
Last week's mixed doubles knockabout with Jessica Pegula aside, Draper has not played since Wimbledon, but the Briton should have no problems dispatching 117th-ranked Gomez if he's anywhere close to full fitness.
Fellow Brit Cameron Norrie faces a far tougher task against American Sebastian Korda, while Monday's night session will see Carlos Alcaraz make his New York bow against Reilly Opelka.
Australian Open champion Madison Keys and WTA number five Mirra Andreeva also enter the tournament on day two.

US Open day two preview
Reilly Opelka vs Carlos Alcaraz predictions
Only a second New York title will suffice for 2022 champion Alcaraz this fortnight, but the Spanish star might not be at his absolute best for Monday's first-round match against Reilly Opelka.
Alcaraz will aim to go through the gears as the tournament progresses with a view to a potential final clash with Jannik Sinner. He has looked vulnerable in the early stages of Grand Slams, most notably when losing to Botic van de Zandschulp in the second round of last year's US Open.
Fabio Fognini gave Alcaraz an almighty scare at Wimbledon, taking him to five sets, and big-serving Opelka looks capable of doing likewise against a player who has made no secret of his preference for playing in the daytime.
Opelka's stands at 6ft 11in and his mobility will be an issue against Alcaraz, but he has bloodied a few high-profile noses in recent months, including a win over Alex de Minaur in Cincinnati, and he should play his part in what could be a lengthier contest than the odds suggest.

Botic van de Zandschulp vs Holger Rune predictions
Van de Zandschulp produced the performance of his life to beat Alcaraz 12 months ago, and he looks to have every chance of causing another upset against 11th seed Holger Rune.
Van de Zandschulp reached the final of the Winston-Salem Open last week, losing out to Marton Fucsovics, and his best Grand Slam result came in New York in 2021 when he reached the quarter-finals.
Although he is talented, Rune is an inconsistent performer who has never been beyond the third round at Flushing Meadows.
Dino Prizmic vs Andrey Rublev predictions
Croatian qualifier Dino Prizmic has a bright future but he's priced up on potential rather than form for his first-round clash with 15th seed Andrey Rublev, who should win this with something in hand.
Rublev is a consistent performer who has reached at least the third round of the last six US Opens. He has had a rock-solid summer in North America, where a run to the Los Cabos semi-final was followed by quarter-final defeats in Canada and Cincinnati.
Alycia Parks vs Mirra Andreeva predictions
Mirra Andreeva will surely contend for the US Open title in the near future, but the teenager is yet to get to grips with this tournament, falling at the second-round stage in the last two seasons.
One North American hard-court appearance this summer resulted in a defeat to McCartney Kessler in Canada, which was followed by her decision to withdraw from Cincinnati with an ankle injury.
She could be undercooked for this clash with Monterrey Open semi-finalist Alycia Parks, who is good enough to stay on the right side of a 5.5-game handicap and could even pull off an upset.
