Portugal vs Belgium predictions

Defeats to Italy and Spain mean Belgium's hopes of progressing from Group B have already been dashed, but the Red Flames will be hoping to end on a high when they take on Portugal in their final game. 

The Portuguese need to win convincingly and hope Spain thrash Italy to progress, but there is a decent chance they will fail to even keep their side of the bargain. 

Portugal have accumulated just 0.64 expected goals in their two matches at Euro 2025 and their winless run now stands at seven games. Belgium, meanwhile, racked up more than that against Spain alone, amassing 0.75 expected goals during a 6-2 defeat. 

The Belgians beat Portugal 3-0 just last month and look a big price to end a disappointing tournament on a high. 

Any joy they do have is likely to have Tessa Wullaert at the heart of it. The Belgian captain has 93 goals in 146 caps, netted twice against Portugal last month and provided both assists against Spain.
