Mitchell ecstatic as he records first double in eight years

Nick Mitchell took a trip down memory lane after saddling a double courtesy of victories for A Montmartre and Get Ready Freddy.
The Dorset-based trainer said: “It’s fantastic to get another double on the board as the last one was a while back in November 2009, when The Listener landed the Grade 1 JNwines Gold Cup at Down Royal and Ellerslie George took the Badger Beer Chase at Wincanton.
“Although I don’t think that A Montmartre and Get Ready Freddy will ever scale those heights, they have both won for their owners – Doug Proctor and Dr Geoffrey Guy – who have been great supporters of the yard over the seasons and that is the main thing.”
