Even the great Istabraq fell twice - and now we might get to back Constitution Hill at a decent price

After Willie Mullins’ spectacular training feat in saddling four of the first five home in the Grand National, you wouldn’t blame Dan Skelton, who is chasing his first trainers’ title, for feeling a touch deflated.

The meeting could scarcely have started any better for Mullins, who landed the first four races on Thursday, all of them Grade 1s.

That said, he may have been slightly fortunate to collect the Aintree Hurdle with Lossiemouth. The fall of Constitution Hill at the second-last, in what had been a steadily run affair, left her with a relatively straightforward task.
