This impressive Doncaster winner should be well up to Group 2 level - if not higher

Dancing Gemini bounced back to form in fine style to make a winning return in the William Hill Doncaster Mile on Saturday, the four-year-old recording a notably strong finish to narrowly better Charyn's winning figure of last year with a Racing Post Rating of 118+.
There are similarities between the pair as both were taking advantage of a significant drop in class to land the opening-day Listed prize, having proved competitive at the highest level at three. While it's a stretch to see Dancing Gemini matching the subsequent levels of last year's champion miler, there's no doubting this impressive start to the season rates a very strong piece of form for the grade.
A solid pace from Point Lynas resulted a good time, nearly two seconds faster than Lincoln winner Godwinson (RPR 104) despite carrying only 2lb less, and a Topspeed figure 22lb superior to that recorded by first-past-the-post Thunder Roar off a mark of 91 in the earlier Spring Mile.
