O’Connor reaches another landmark aboard Staker Wallace

Derek O’Connor, 11-times champion rider, recorded another milestone on Sunday with his 1,100th winner.

O’Connor combined with Staker Wallace, trained by Enda Bolger for owner JP McManus, to take the Pegus six-year-old and upwards geldings’ maiden.

The Galway native gradually eased the son of King’s Theatre to the front and easily held off the challenge of Lacken Bridge by two and a half lengths.
