Irish Oaks winner secures third-best figure in race this decade - but no denying Classic was a moderate affair

Minnie Hauk became the 16th filly to win the Oaks and Irish Oaks when successful at the Curragh on Saturday, making the most of a straightforward opportunity.

The race lacked depth and quality for this grade, with Epsom fourth Wemightakedlongway looking the biggest threat, as it proved when she finished second.

Minnie Hauk achieved a Racing Post Rating of 116+, below the level of her victory at Epsom, but given the weaker field this was perhaps to be expected. It is still the third highest winning RPR in the race in the past decade, with only Snowfall and Enable bettering it.
