It was hard to fault the performance of Jonbon but there are three Willie Mullins' horses with form claims arguably as strong

It wasn't the strongest field that lined up for Saturday's Grade 1 Betfair Tingle Creek, but, an early mistake apart, it was hard to fault the performance of Jonbon (Racing Post Rating 172), who made it back-to-back wins in the race with an eight-length beating of Quilixios (161).
The runner-up had looked an improved performer when easily beating Marine Nationale in a Grade 3 on his Naas reappearance and confirmed that impression at Sandown without suggesting he is up to scoring at the highest level.
Similar remarks apply to the third home JPR One (159), who is judged to have matched his Haldon Gold Cup-winning mark. He is probably capable of breaking the 160-barrier back on better ground, but elite chasers can post RPRs upwards of 170 and that looks a fair way off.
