Match preview
Poor weather interfered with the start of the Twenty20 Blast but the matches are starting to come thick and fast and Wednesday's televised fixture sees Birmingham take on Gloucestershire at Edgbaston.
Both sides have one Blast win to their name so far and will be looking to double their tally to keep up with Northamptonshire in the tournament's Central Group.
Lancashire Lightning and Notts Outlaws are the pacesetters in the T20 Blast North Group and their clash in Aigburth, Liverpool, could be a high-scoring affair.
Both sides have won two of their three matches and seen the others settled as no results, putting them level on five points, but the prolific Outlaws top order could prove the difference.
Notts have posted totals of 185 and 194 in their two wins so far, with opener Chris Nash firing 55 and 51. Number three Joe Clarke, meanwhile, impressed with a 44-ball unbeaten 100 against Durham and Ben Duckett blasted 86 not out at home to Yorkshire.
That is not to mention another dangerous willow-wielder in Alex Hales, who is yet to get going for the Outlaws this season but scored 52 in defeat to champions Worcestershire on finals day in 2019. They are worth a bet to prevail.
