Sunday's European acca tips: Our 6-1 acca for the evening action on the continent

The Champions League returns on Tuesday, but first some of European football's biggest names are in domestic action on Sunday evening, with the Milan derby taking centre stage.

Inter vs Milan

Inter failed to win any of the five Milan derbies last season, but the Nerazzurri appear to be full of confidence under Christian Chivu, winning 11 of their last 12 matches, including a 2-0 home victory over Lazio last time out.

Milan are unbeaten in 11 and are eyeing a Scudetto challenge, but they have drawn four of their last six matches, dropping points against Juventus, Pisa, Atalanta and Parma, and that lack of ruthlessness could be exploited by their city rivals.

Lille vs Paris FC

Having found Strasbourg too strong prior to the international break, Lille should return to form when Paris FC visit the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

While Paris are dangerous opponents – as Monaco found out in a 1-0 loss at the start of the month – only three Ligue 1 teams went into the weekend with a worse defensive record, and the hosts have the firepower to cause them plenty of problems.

Real Madrid vs Elche

Real Madrid went into the international break under something of a cloud, losing to Liverpool in the Champions League and then drawing with Rayo Vallecano, but Los Blancos can be backed to return to winning ways at Elche.

Xabi Alonso's men have won ten of their 12 La Liga matches and should ease past Elche, who have claimed just two points from their last five games and appear to be heading in only one direction.

Malaga vs Mirandes

Malaga are a far cry from the side who reached the 2012-13 Champions League quarter-finals, but they can snap a three-match winless run when Mirandes visit La Rosaleda in the Segunda.

The hosts have been at their best on their own patch, beating Deportivo 3-0 and Andorra 4-1 before a 2-2 draw with Cordoba in their last three at home, while Mirandes have suffered four losses in their last five second-tier matches.
