A last-gasp 3-2 win against Lyon meant Paris Saint-Germain entered the international break with a two-point buffer at the top of the Ligue 1 table, and Luis Enrique's men will bid to maintain their winning form when they host Le Havre on Saturday.

Chief title rivals Marseille, meanwhile, will bid to leapfrog the Parisians, temporarily at least, when they face Nice on Friday night.

Ligue 1 predictions & tips for this weekend’s matches

Nice vs Marseille

Kick-off: 7.45pm Friday

It's three defeats on the bounce for Nice who look seriously vulnerable on the road at Marseille. The visitors hammered Brest 3-0 last time out and they are keeping the pressure on Paris Saint-Germain at the top of Ligue 1.

Prediction: Marseille

Lens vs Strasbourg

Kick-off: 4pm Saturday

Both of these teams have enjoyed impressive starts to the Ligue 1 season and this should be a high-scoring affair. Six of Lens' last eight league games have featured over 2.5 goals while only Marseille have scored more than Strasbourg's 24 goals in 12 matches.

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals

Rennes vs Monaco

Kick-off: 6pm Saturday

Banking on goals at both ends looks like a solid strategy on Monaco's trip to Rennes on Saturday. Both teams have scored in four of Rennes' last five Ligue 1 games while Monaco have the worst defensive record in the top half.

Prediction: Both teams to score

Paris Saint-Germain vs Le Havre

Kick-off: 8.05pm Saturday

Both teams have scored in four of Paris Saint-Germain's last six games and the European champions may be breached by Le Havre, who are unbeaten in four league outings. That said, PSG's extra quality should tell in the end and they can come out on top in an entertaining affair.

Prediction: PSG to win & both teams to score

Auxerre vs Lyon

Kick-off: 2pm Sunday

Lyon have been struggling lately but they have found the perfect game to bounce back in as they visit Auxerre. The hosts have lost nine of their 12 league games, including four on the spin, and they are the lowest scorers in the division with just seven goals.

Prediction: Lyon

Brest vs Metz

Kick-off: 4.15pm Sunday

Goals look likely when these two strugglers meet. The pair have conceded 48 goals from their 24 combined games and this looks set to be another game which goes over 2.5 goals for Metz. Five of their six away games this season have produced three or more goals.

Prediction: Over 2.5 goals

Nantes vs Lorient

Kick-off: 4.15pm Sunday

The best bet is Nantes. Lorient have failed to score in eight of their last ten Ligue 1 away games while the home side have managed to keep things relatively tight this season. They are taken to edge the visitors, who have been poor on the road this term.

Prediction: Nantes

Toulouse vs Angers

Kick-off: 4.15pm Sunday

Angers have failed to win nine of their last ten Ligue 1 away games while Toulouse have been two-goal winners in two of the last three Ligue 1 head-to-heads. The home side have lost only once all season on home soil and could edge a crucial win.

Prediction: Toulouse

Lille vs Paris FC

Kick-off: 7.45pm Sunday

Lille have a very solid home record and should be able to get the better of Paris FC, who have lost three of their last five outings and have conceded 21 times in 12 games this term. That defensive weakness could be their undoing once more.

Prediction: Lille
