Nordic Darts Masters predictions

The World Series of Darts resumes with the Nordic Darts Masters and market leader Luke Littler is fancied to take the Copenhagen prize.

There is a reasonably strong home challenge including Jeffrey de Graaf, Andreas Harrysson and Madars Razma, but those arrowsmiths are unlikely to stop the Nuke and the same can be said for the PDC select.

Littler was beaten by Luke Humphries in the final of the Premier League last Thursday and Cool Hand Luke rates a danger in Copenhagen. However, the former world champion is likely to have to find a way past Gerwyn Price in round two and Chris Dobey or Rob Cross in the semi-finals.

Littler’s route to the final looks a little kinder. He is housed alongside seeded performers Nathan Aspinall, Stephen Bunting, Jonny Clayton, who are all inconsistent performers, and all three of those arrowsmiths are available at far bigger odds than Price on the outright market.

The Nuke starts his Nordic Darts Masters campaign with a first-round tie against Swedish arrowsmith Viktor Tingstrom, who is ranked at 148 on the PDC’s Order of Merit, which should allow smooth progress to the quarter-finals for the world champion.

Littler was beaten 11-8 by Humphries in the Premier League final, but the Warrington man still averaged over 100 in that contest and the 18-year-old remains the most destructive performer on planet darts.

Clearly, Littler’s abilities have not been missed by the oddsmakers but given his favourable draw, Littler looks worth an outright interest.

At 5-1, a chance can be taken on the best version of Benjamin Reus showing up against Nathan Aspinall.

The Dane produced an incredible performance when putting up an individual average of 114 when representing Denmark against Austria in the 2023 World Cup of Darts.

Reus has also produced averages of 100.35, 99.13 and 95.23 in matches on the Pro Tour this term and there is enough in the price to take a punt on the Flying Star shining against Aspinall.
