Monday

A big week on the track, but expect the fallout from Sunday's major news that British racing goes on strike next month to rumble on.

The final fields for day one of York's Ebor meeting will also be revealed, including for the Juddmonte International (3.35) – one of the highlights of the British Flat season.

It is a quieter affair on the track with just four meetings in Britain. The afternoon action comes from Stratford and Catterick, while Windsor and Ayr complete proceedings in the evening.

Tuesday

It is the eve of York's Ebor festival and you can read top-class analysis, tipping and raceday intel for all the major races for day one's festivities on the Knavesmire online from 6pm.

The final fields for day two of the meeting will also be revealed, including for the Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks (3.35), which could be Aidan O'Brien-dominated.

It is a busy day of action too, with five Flat meetings. Brighton, Chepstow, Kempton and Wolverhampton are the line-up in Britain, while the Irish racing comes from Roscommon.

Wednesday

The opening day of York's Ebor meeting, one of Britain's Flat season highlights, is here, and one of the best races, the Juddmonte International (3.35), kicks it off.

It features a fascinating rematch between Delacroix and Ombudsman is set. The former has the upper hand over the latter after they fought out a dramatic finish in last month's Coral-Eclipse. Star Japanese horse Danon Decile adds even more spice to a top-class contest.

If that is not enough, then dual Derby hero Lambourn could also be in action in the Sky Bet Great Voltigeur Stakes (3.00), while the Acomb Stakes (2.25) could unearth a Classic winner. Ruling Court, this year's 2,000 Guineas winner, was third in it last year.

There are also two other Flat meetings from Carlisle and Kempton, while the jumps action comes from Sligo and Worcester

In the US, keep an eye on the Grade 1 Jonathan Sheppard Steeplechase (6.10) from Saratoga, in which the formerly British and Irish-trained duo Givemefive and Zarak The Brave run.

Thursday

Fillies and mares take the limelight on day two of the Ebor festival, although the Pertemps Network Yorkshire Oaks (3.35) may be light on runners.

It could be Aidan O'Brien-dominated, given he has four of the six remaining entries. His team will be headed by Minnie Hauk, with the dual Oaks heroine set to face her elders for the first time.

Her stablemate and Nassau Stakes winner Whirl is still in the race, but not certain to take part, while Estrange's participation also hangs in the balance.

A star filly could emerge in the Sky Bet Lowther Stakes (1.50), while £249,908 for first place is on offer in the 6f Harry's Half Million (2.25).

Off the track, the final field for the Sky Bet Ebor Handicap (3.35) on Saturday will be confirmed, as well as Saturday's other big races at York.

There is also Listed action at Leopardstown in the Vinnie Roe Stakes (6.25), as well as meetings from Lingfield, Newcastle, Newton Abbot, Killarney and Chelmsford.

Friday

The sprinters are set to shine on day three of the Ebor festival when the speedsters line up in the Coolmore Wootton Bassett Nunthorpe Stakes (3.35).

Among those are set to be Australian star Asfoora, who was fourth in last year's race, while Lady Iman and Spicy Marg could give the juveniles a rare win in the all-aged Group 1.

In the staying division, the Weatherbys Lonsdale Cup (2.25) could see the return of Trawlerman, who has not been seen since his Ascot Gold Cup win and could face a rematch against Illinois.

The Gimcrack Stakes (3.00) could see a clash between two Royal Ascot runners-up, as Norfolk Stakes second Wise Approach and Coventry Stakes-placed Do Or Do Not are entered.

There is Listed action from Newmarket in the Hopeful Stakes (1.20), as well as meetings from Ffos Las, Hamilton and Goodwood.

Saturday

The final day of the Ebor festival arrives and one of the most competitive races is left until last in the £500,000 Sky Bet Ebor (3.35).

The prestigious staying handicap has gone to Ireland in three of the last four years, and their leading hope this time could be the Willie Mullins-trained Hipop De Loire.

There will also be a little bit of history on Saturday's card, when the Sky Bet City of York Stakes (3.00) becomes Britain's newest Group 1. It has attracted a high-class line-up, including Rosallion

The Group action does not stop at York either as the Futurity Stakes (3.27) and Debutante Stakes (4.02) at the Curragh could unearth some juvenile gems for the year, while Windsor stages its big day with the Group 3 Winter Hill Stakes (6.45) and August Stakes (6.15).

Goodwood, Cartmel, Redcar and Newmarket's final meeting on the July course this year round off the day.

Sunday

The top-class action for the week does not end at York, as Goodwood stages the Group 2 Celebration Mile (3.35). Lockinge Stakes winner Lead Artist is among the entries.

There is also Group action from Naas in the Ballyogan Stakes (3.25), as well as meetings from Beverley and Yarmouth.
