Show-stopping Flat season finale at Ascot headlines a week in which some big jumps names could return
Your full rundown of what to look forward to in the racing world this week

Monday
With the jumps season now fully under way there is action at Hereford, where a trio of promising last-time-out winners clash in the 2m novice hurdle (2.42) including Jackstell, who aims to build on the impressive 54 per cent strike-rate of trainer Jamie Snowden.
The George Boughey-trained Pentonville, a well-bred 295,000gns purchase, is worth noting on his debut in Yarmouth's 7f novice (2.00), while the pick of the racing at Musselburgh is a 7f fillies' handicap (3.52).
Dewhurst-winning trainer Andrew Balding turns his attention to Kempton, where Shebara makes her debut in a £30,000 mile fillies' novice (5.10). Roscommon and Yarmouth complete the day's offerings.
Away from the track, keep an eye on the Racing Post website and app at lunchtime for the confirmations and supplementary entries for Saturday's Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot.
Tuesday
Punchestown stages its first jumps meeting since June and Kerry National winner Busselton (3.05) and improving juvenile Hopes Are High (2.05) are among those set to run.
Last year's Summer Plate winner Sure Touch takes on five rivals in Market Rasen's 2m5½f handicap chase (3.51), while on the Flat John and Thady Gosden bid for back-to-back wins in Newcastle's 1m2f novice (4.50) with Juddmonte gelding Antrim.
There is an early Aintree indicator as entries are revealed at noon for the Grand Sefton, which takes place on November 8.

Wednesday
It is back to Punchestown for some Grade 3 action as King Of Kingsfield seeks to build on his strong start over fences in the BetVictor Novice Chase (3.35). The track also stages the BetVictor Chase (4.05) in which Ryanair runner-up Heart Wood could make his seasonal debut.
Wetherby opens its doors for the new jumps season with a seven-race card, and the new training partnership of Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore could be well represented across the card with Primoz and French recruit Anaconda.
Orange Diamond could bid to complete a course hat-trick at Worcester in the 2m4f handicap hurdle (4.58), while Fair Dinkum and Senor Cortez are on winning streaks of their own and could contest one of Wednesday's Flat highlight, the Close Brothers Colwick Cup Handicap (4.14) at Nottingham.
Thursday
There are few jumps horses more popular than Hewick, and the plucky King George winner could make a quiet return to action in a 2m7f hurdle (4.27) at Thurles.
The ten-year-old's potential appearance will be the headline name across Britain and Ireland's three jumps fixtures on Thursday, with racing also coming from Carlisle and Ffos Las.
The Curragh stages one of its final few fixtures of the year, and the weekend action begins to crank up with declarations for Saturday's Qipco British Champions day closing at 10am.

Friday
Accredit has seemed like a promising Juddmonte prospect in two starts this term and he could head to Haydock for one final run this season in the mile novice (2.30).
The afternoon card is one of four Flat fixtures on Friday alongside action at Redcar and all-weather fixtures at Newcastle and Dundalk, while capable hurdlers Dargiannini and Lookaway could head to Uttoxeter.
Over at Fakenham, more familiar jumping names return for the track's first meeting since June including habitual winner Carlton, who has scored seven times since joining James Owen last December and holds an entry in the 2m4f conditional jockeys' novice handicap hurdle (5.00).
Saturday
The British Flat season goes out on a spectacular high on Saturday as the biggest stars of the year descend on Ascot for Qipco British Champions Day.
Five Group 1 races decorate the afternoon card, kicking off with a showdown between Trawlerman and Scandinavia in the Long Distance Cup (1.30).
Wathnan are set to be heavily represented in the Champions Sprint Stakes (2.05) with possible runners Lazzat, Kind Of Blue and Flora Of Bermuda, before it is over to the Fillies & Mares Stakes (2.45) headed by striking filly Estrange.

The two most intriguing Group 1 races see Field Of Gold make his much-anticipated return in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (3.25) and a fascinating meeting of Ombudsman, Calandagan and Delacroix in the Champion Stakes (4.05). It is certainly a fitting way to see out the 2025 Flat season.
There is more Group action in Ireland as Leopardstown stages the Eyrefield Stakes (3.15) and Killavullan Stakes (4.20).
Over the jumps, Newton Abbot stages a lucrative 2m5f intermediate chase (4.55) which could be a target for Caldwell Potter, while Limerick hosts two Listed contests for hurdlers.
Sunday
The Munster National, won last year by Real Steel, is the feature back at Limerick, which opens its doors for the second day in a row alongside Leopardstown, which stages the Listed Knockaire (2.25) and Trigo Stakes (3.25) as the sole Flat meeting of the day.
Back in Britain there is more Listed offerings over jumps at Kempton, plus the Durham National headlines the card at Sedgefield.
