Transfer deadline day can wait as there is plenty of action to get stuck into this evening with four fixtures in Britain and Ireland. Bellewstown (4.15 start) kicks off the feast with a decent jumps card and Tipperary (4.25) stage the Listed Abergwaun Stakes and Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes. The jumpers also go at Sedgefield (4.30) and there is all-weather action at Wolverhampton (5.40), with all races shown on At The Races. Here we pick out three horses it could pay to follow . . .

Realtra
5.55 Tipperary

The race of the night comes at Tipperary with a decent field lining up for the Group 3 Fairy Bridge Stakes, a contest in which Dermot Weld seeks a fourth straight success.

However, the prize could be booked for export as Newmarket trainer Roger Varian holds strong claims with Realtra dropping down in class after running in the Prix Rothschild last time.

The five-year-old has won twice at this level, including for tonight's jockey Colin Keane on her last visit to Ireland when beating some reopposing rivals in last month's Brownstown Stakes at Leopardstown.

It is crazy to think the 2014 Cheltenham Festival Bumper winner is still a maiden over hurdles and connections will be hoping he can get off the mark at the seventh attempt.

The nine-year-old has had his problems during an interrupted career but on his day he is a very decent dual-purpose performer and this looks an opportunity he should be capable of seizing.

8.10 Wolverhampton

Still searching for a first win following eight attempts, the James Fanshawe-trained three-year-old shaped with promise when fitted with a first-time tongue-tie at Kempton last time.

He can be keen in his races – even since being gelded – but a repetition of his run 15 days ago should be enough with champion jockey-elect Silvestre De Sousa again in the saddle.
