Top jockey-trainer combination team up, a winner on a roll and a useful filly returns - punting pointers for Tuesday's racing

Punting pointers for Tuesday's meetings . . .
Market Rasen: Fenelon bids for instant impact
Peter and Michael Bowen's runners at the track are always worth following and the trainers bid to give rider Shane Fenelon a perfect start in Lincolnshire in the 3m3½f conditional jockeys' handicap chase (2.05).
Fenelon, who is a claiming professional, has not ridden at the course and has his breakthrough ride here on Fairlawn Flyer. The nine-year-old was a winner at Cartmel in August 2023 but his career has been plagued by injuries since and he has yet to fire since returning from a 455-day layoff in December.
However, the Welsh trainers' runners at Market Rasen operate at a 22 per cent strike-rate this season. Fairlawn Flyer is one of three runners for the Bowens, who are also represented by Mohawk Chief (3.05) and Holokea (5.15).
Newcastle: wonderful William bids for ninth win
Most owners could only dream of their horse winning eight races, but that's exactly what William Dewhirst has done.
Six of those have been in the last four months, with the first coming over this course and distance (seven furlongs) off a mark of just 63. More successes in the same conditions followed up off marks of 66, 72 and 77.
He dropped to six furlongs for another win off 79 in January and just five days ago stepped back up to seven for his most recent success off 82. He carries a 5lb penalty for that, but he has produced Rating Post Ratings of 90 and 89 in recent starts, so the best could yet be to come in the 7f handicap (3.22).
His trainer Ben Haslam said: "He's been a star. Our hand is slightly forced to run him, on the basis we're targeting the all-weather yearly bonus. He may well be wrong at the weights, but we're looking to secure as many points as we can. There aren't a lot of options at Newcastle, which is a track he's very good at, so we'll give it our best shot."
Newcastle stat: Bourke out to enhance good track record
Daragh Bourke has a 40 per cent strike-rate in three-year-old-plus handicaps at Newcastle this year. He runs Neddies Boy in the 1m4½f handicap (1.50).
Southwell: useful filly makes her return
Bajan Blue came out on top in a three-way duel on her debut in a 1m1½f maiden at Wolverhampton in January last year.
She beat Trojan Storm and Beat The Clock by the combined distance of a neck then and must be being persevered with because she will run for the first time since in the 1m3f novice stakes (7.30).
The four-year-old daughter of Masar has plenty of stamina in her pedigree, so this step up in distance should help her. Her trainer Roger Varian is also in fine form, having sent out two winners from his last nine runners for a 22 per cent strike-rate.
Southwell stat: profitable course trainer
A £1 stake on each of Michael Herrington's runners at Southwell this season would've yielded a profit of +£53.50 (23 per cent strike-rate). His sole representative is Bizarre Law (8.00).
