Three soft-ground specialists who will love the rain at Newmarket and Redcar

Be More has four victories from 11 starts but crucially three from three on soft ground, with victories at Goodwood, Chester and over a mile at Newmarket last October proving this is a filly who loves to get her toe in.
She travelled strongly under Oisin Murphy when winning at Sandown in July and the jockey is back in the saddle again.

Half Light
2.45 Newmarket
Half Light has been in great form this season in France and Germany, winning three of her five starts and finishing second on her other two runs, most notably in the Group 1 Prix Rothschild.
Two of her victories came in testing conditions, including on bottomless ground at Le Lion-D'Angers in June.
The Alex Pantall-trained four-year-old will need to raise her game, but will handle conditions better than most.
This David O'Meara-trained six-year-old has yet to encounter testing ground this season, but he should relish the rain at Redcar.
He has been running to a decent enough level on his last four starts but has not won since running out an excellent winner of the Balmoral at Ascot last season on heavy ground. Conditions look to have fallen his way today.
