Appleby threatened to usher in change by winning his first trainers' championship last season and maybe his 2,000 Guineas one-two at Newmarket on Saturday, when Coroebus and Native Trail pulled clear of Ballydoyle’s big hope Luxembourg, confirmed the dawn of a new age.
