Who’s your pick for the feature Sprint Cup at Haydock?
Richard Birch, tipster I like Hello Youmzain. Things
didn’t really pan out for him in the Commonwealth Cup, but he was beaten only a length and three-quarters into third. That performance established him as a proper Group 1 sprinter, and this race has looked the natural target ever since. The manner in which he floored the odds-on Calyx over course and distance in May was impressive and he remains open to improvement after just six starts.
Mike Cattermole, commentator The race has been blown wide open by the withdrawal of Advertise and Ten Sovereigns. Khaadem deserves a crack at this level and is getting better but I will be hoping last year’s winner The Tin Man turns up in top form. He is very good indeed when he is right and has never been out of the first three in three starts in this. His reappearance effort at Windsor was a fine run under a penalty but is Father Time catching up with him?
Matt Trounce, Ladbrokes trader With Advertise and Ten Sovereigns out it could prove to be Brando’s turn. He ran an excellent race last time in the Maurice de Gheest and went close under similar conditions last season.
