Basic Law enters handicap company for the first time as he bids for a four-timer against six rivals in a competitive looking contest.
The Ger Lyons-trained gelding, who was unraced last season, is three from four and connections believe the step up in trip will suit the son of Lawman who has won on slow and good ground.
Colin Keane's mount heads the weights while bottom weight Balefire represents Michael Halford, who said of the son of Shamardal: "He ran well when third at Leopardstown and came out of the race well. Going an extra furlong on a level track shouldn't be a problem.
"There is rain forecast and, hopefully, the ground won't change too much from good to yielding."
Willie McCreery, trainer of Killourney, is also hoping the ground will not deteriorate for Billy Lee's mount who won a maiden at Gowran Park last month.
He said: "Killourney has been in good form since Gowran. He's a big long-striding horse and the better the ground the more he'll like it. We don't want too much rain."
Aidan O'Brien is represented by Turnberry Isle, a maiden winner at Naas late last season who tackles this intermediate distance having been campaigned over 1m2f and a mile this term.
Shane Crosse, Ireland's champion apprentice last year, claims 5lb off the Joseph O'Brien-trained Jupiter Road who has failed to add to his maiden win at Dundalk in February. He has been placed on four of his six attempts since but was below par at Leopardstown on his most recent start ten days ago.
The Joe Murphy-trained Peruvian Lily, a twice placed maiden, is also making her handicap debut as she steps up in distance while the Motashakel is fitted with a visor for the first time.
