Excellent Cheltenham record gives Wholestone an each-way shout

Soft-ground horses have been in their element at Cheltenham. The ground is deep, and likely to ride even more testing on day three with further rain forecast.

We're not sure why Al Dancer underperformed in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle on Tuesday. He was really disappointing and it clearly wasn't his form. We're doing tests later in the week to see if anything shows up.

Hopefully Wholestone, who has won on heavy ground, will run a lot better than Al Dancer in the Grade 1 Sun Racing Stayers' Hurdle (3.30).
