Can HMS Endeavour bounce back from Middle Park flop for Aidan O'Brien?

For a six-runner affair, this is competitive and is sure to be fast and furious.

San Andreas sets a decent standard on ratings and he relishes these sorts of contests.

The son of Dark Angel has collected three conditions races over the past year as well as plenty of near misses in others, including when desperately unlucky in the All-Weather Mile on Good Friday.

He drops back to six furlongs for the first time since December 2019 and it's hard to know how he will cope back in a speed test against the other lively rivals in the line-up.

The most intriguing runner is Kieran Cotter’s Dun Na Sead, who hasn’t been seen since readily landing a Curragh maiden last September. The manner in which she sealed the deal on that occasion was quite impressive, and although stepping up in class, the daughter of Starspangledbanner deserves her place in the race with her fillies' allowance a nice help.

HMS Endeavour is one of three three-year-olds in the field and is another who returns from a layoff. He takes a significant drop in class after he struggled in the Middle Park Stakes when last seen at Newmarket and is sure to play a leading role if ready for this. His two wins prior to the Newmarket flop looked good, and the formbook backs that up.

Jessica Harrington saddles Exquisite Acclaim. Although he could manage only tenth in the Italian 2,000 Guineas, he merits respect on the back of his close fourth behind Dr Zempf in the 2,000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown last month and his only win has come over this trip.

Warrior Brave makes his third start for Ross O’Sullivan and comes here after finishing just over two lengths behind Romantic Proposal in a Listed race at Naas last month. He is entered in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot and this looks a stepping stone to a bigger target.

Prisoner’s Dilemma completes the line-up after a good winter handicapping at Dundalk.

What they say

Ross O'Sullivan, trainer of Warrior Brave
I'm delighted with him. It was great run in the Listed race the last day and this is a stepping stone towards Ascot. The quicker the ground, the better for him. He's in good nick and I hope for a good run.

Shane Foley, rider of Exquisite Acclaim
He ran well in the trial, that's why we let him take his chance in Italy. The mile probably stretched him, six should be more up his street. He takes on the older horses but he seems in good shape.

Kieran Cotter, trainer of Dun Na Sead
She was impressive on her only outing. We've been held up a little this year with her. It's a competitive way to start the season but we'll let her off and see. The allowance is a nice help.
