All set for a full house on Thursday as the threat from frost eases

Jump racing is set to resume in full on Thursday with hopes high that all three British jumps meetings will go ahead.

Huntingdon stages the Listed Sidney Banks Memorial Novices' Hurdle and clerk of the course Jack Pryor said on Wednesday: "We are relatively confident.

"We had no frost overnight and though it is due to go down to -2C or possibly -3C tonight it is then forecast to go up to 6C tomorrow.

"We have sheeted all the racing line and we are in a strong starting position with no snow forecast."

Doncaster is also confident of racing and clerk of the course Roderick Duncan said on Wednesday: "It is looking very optimistic and no problems are anticipated.

"We would have raced today with no inspection. It could get down to -1C this evening but it is due to rise to 1C by the early hours."

Towcester was raceable on Wednesday and clerk of the course Robert Bellamy said: "We're optimistic.

"We had frost overnight last night and we weren't raceable at 8.00am today but we were at 10.30am. The Met Office say it could get down to -1C or -2C tonight but then in the daytime it is due to be warmer than today."

All three British jumps meetings were lost to frost or snow on Wednesday.
