Sport isn't about logic, it's about hopes and dreams - and mine are all about Constitution Hill

This is a trap I have to admit I fell into last season, but, as the trapdoor reappears in front of me, I’m diving in headfirst again. Said trap is Constitution Hill.

I fell hopelessly for him when he blew the field apart in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle in March 2022 and sealed the romance a year later in the Champion Hurdle. That performance was the kind that makes you believe in greatness. Once you’ve seen that, it’s hard to let go.

Since then, the logic has said "be careful". But one thing I love about sport is that it isn’t always built on logic; it can be built on hope. It’s about faith, emotion and the belief that something special might happen again.
