Racing needs Project Pace to live up to its name and deliver change fast

If top-level sport is your thing, then you have been spoiled for choice these last few days.
At Lord’s, England and India have been playing out a classic Test match, while Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz produced an outstanding Wimbledon final. Chelsea were sublime in seeing off PSG in the final of the Club World Cup, England’s women thrashed the Netherlands and Wales in the European Championship, while Tadej Pogacar and Jonas Vingegaard continue their enthralling Tour de France rivalry.
Racing also did its bit, with the July festival at Newmarket producing captivating action, including a stunning July Cup on Super Saturday, and improved attendances on all three days.
