Racing League can thrive - but it's time to spread the gospel before 2023 return

Fixtures for the 2023 Racing League were announced just before Christmas, allowing seven months to drum up greater interest – and I remain convinced the concept still has potential if organisers can make the most of that time.
The team competition continued to divide opinion last year, but its second version was certainly much better received than the first, following the change in format to regional teams from corporate brands.
Organiser Championship Horse Racing (CHR) has played up the regional aspect further with the six meetings scheduled to take place for the third edition between July and September, when the seven teams – Ireland, London and the South, Scotland, the East, the North, Wales and the West and Yorkshire – will compete for points at Yarmouth (July 27), Chepstow (August 10), Windsor (August 17), Newcastle (August 31), Wolverhampton (September 7) and Southwell (September 13).
