Points attracting good crowds as four-year-olds come on stream

The beginning of the four-year-old campaign is always eagerly awaited by point-to-point followers. That's probably one of the reasons why many recent fixtures have attracted large attendances, although the profile of the crowds suggests other factors are involved, which is very pleasing.
At several venues, it's been obvious our fixtures are attracting many families on an afternoon out, helping to create a lively atmosphere and introducing young children and teenagers to the sport.
Many committees are doing great work at promoting the local point-to-point as a community event. These days, families are often involved in a wide range of sporting and social activities for their kids, so it's reassuring to see that point-to-pointing is attracting this level of support.
