Pointers everywhere as Gordon Elliott enjoys a weekend winning spree at Navan and Cork

Last week, I wrote about the point-to-point background of several horses who made headlines at the big Fairyhouse meeting, including the Gordon Elliott-trained pair Romeo Coolio and Koktail Brut.
The stable's brilliant run of form continued with a treble at Navan on Saturday and a four-timer at Cork on Sunday. Except for French import Kala Conti, the winners had their first experience in the point-to-point field.
By coincidence, several had connections with riders and handlers who were among the winners at the weekend fixtures at Dromahane and Ballycrystal.
