Lee ready for Roodee comeback

Graham Lee will bring to an end five weeks on the sidelines when returning from illness at Chester on Saturday.

Having enjoyed the greatest moment of his Flat riding career when steering Trip To Paris to victory in last year's Gold Cup, Lee was forced to sit out this season's royal meeting after succumbing to a virus that has caused him to be absent since June 4.

Lee, who landed the 2004 Grand National aboard Amberleigh House before switching codes in 2012, has ridden over 100 calendar winners in all four of his previous Flat campaigns but will resume work this weekend having so far enjoyed only 19 successes in 2016.
