Jockey battered and bruised after Wolverhampton fall

Stevie Donohoe has been discharged from hospital after escaping a nasty-looking fall at Wolverhampton on Thursday night with minor injuries.

Donohoe unseated on Broughtons Story after his mount clipped the heels of Cape Falcone in the 7f maiden and was taken to nearby New Cross Hospital after appearing to have been caught by another horse in behind.

The rider's agent Russ James said yesterday: "He received trauma to his left leg but as far as I know the x-rays have shown nothing is broken. He’s just battered and bruised and will take a few days off to rest and recuperate."
