'It wasn't a fluke' - Dwyer hails Muir and Grassick for Pyledriver's popular win

Pyledriver's victory in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Qipco Stakes should be a wake-up call to owners and breeders to broaden their support to more stables rather than concentrating talent in fewer hands, according to jockey Martin Dwyer.
Pyledriver captured his second Group 1 when defeating Torquator Tasso at Ascot on Saturday having been sent off the 18-1 outsider in the six-runner field, with Dwyer, his regular partner, sidelined due to a serious knee injury.
The Derby-winning rider described a mixture of emotions in seeing Pyledriver succeed under stand-in jockey PJ McDonald, who had been recommended for the mount by Dwyer.
