Anyone bewitched by the sterling deeds of Found would have been similarly enchanted by a mare who also had a lengthy and fulfilling career. Found won three Group or Grade 1 races from 21 starts; Time Charter won four from 20, together with the 1982 Sun Chariot Stakes, which was then a Group 2.

Then, as now, familiarity bred contentment. Time Charter raced for four seasons at a time when the programme for older fillies and mares was nothing like as obliging. They had little choice but to confront older colts, which made life tough for them.
