Repeat winners take big jumps prizes at Kelso and Doncaster - while over in Meydan a 2,000 Guineas contender hacks up

Just in case you hadn't realised that we're finally emerging from winter, bookmakers were issuing price updates for the 2,000 Guineas over the weekend. The first Classic of the season is only a couple of paydays away, just the other side of the Grand National, and it won't be long before we're all trying to remember which Flat trainers usually do well in April.
For now, jumping holds sway and provided us with three feature handicaps on Saturday, the winners returning at 12-1, 16-1 and 33-1. Somehow I managed to miss them all and I'm guessing most of you are in a similar position, but it was fun having a go and I wouldn't object to more winter weekends with that sort of schedule.
It was glory time for those who live by the maxim 'if a horse can do something once, he can do it again'. Moroder, who'd had a tough time since his Grimthorpe success in 2023, took the Doncaster prize for a second time, while Cracking Rhapsody achieved back-to-back victories in the Morebattle at Kelso.
