'It feels like an eternity from the Elbow - but I didn't think for a second Many Clouds was going to stop'
Catherine Macrae talks to dual Grand National winner Leighton Aspell about his horse of a lifetime

There is no race in the world quite like the Grand National. It is a universal feeling shared by racegoers, owners and trainers alike, yet perhaps no-one believes it more than jockeys, whose childhood dreams can suddenly start to become reality once they get to that famous Elbow.
Leighton Aspell was fortunate enough to experience that feeling not once but twice. And while you might expect the first victory to be the most special, it's the second one that still resonates to this day, such was the popularity of the brave and beloved Many Clouds.
For trainer Oliver Sherwood, the 2015 National hero was a first winner in the great race; for owner Trevor Hemmings, he was the last. And for Aspell, he was undoubtedly the horse of a lifetime.
