Winds of change are blowing at Craiglands Farm, high up on Baildon Moor near Bingley.
The upper tip of Bronte Country, nearly 1,000 feet above sea level, has been the West Yorkshire home of Sue and Harvey Smith for decades, a unique location for a racing stable, which if it ever wanted to rebrand itself could do so as a high-altitude training centre.
On a clear day you can feel on top of the world, but on this particular December morning thick fog hangs over the dark sandstone terrain to add to an unmistakable air of bleakness.
