Five-time Group 1 winner Love will miss Sunday's Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe after she was withdrawn on Saturday evening due to a temperature.

The Aidan O'Brien-trained filly, who was a general 20-1 shot for the Group 1 contest in France, was set to be the ride of Frankie Dettori, who now finds himself without a ride for the Longchamp showpiece.

The withdrawal marks the second time the filly has missed the Arc after O'Brien withdrew her 12 months ago due to deteriorating ground conditions.

O'Brien said: "We take their temperatures twice a day and when we checked Love's at evening stables it was found to be slightly elevated. If that happens, you have to act on it and it's better to find it.

"It's unfortunate for her to miss the race again but by picking it up before the race, at least there's a chance we might get her back right again for the autumn."

The booking was set to be Dettori's first ride on the O'Brien filly, who landed her sole success this year in the Prince of Wales's Stakes.

The leading jockey in the race with six wins to his name, Dettori now faces missing the Arc for the first time since 2013.

O'Brien, who has won the Arc twice, will be represented in the 1m4f contest by Oaks heroine Snowfall and stablemate Broome.
