Evening Angles: three runners to note based on Racing Post stats
Using the Racing Post's unrivalled bank of stats, we pick out three horses to back tonight based on trainer form, RPRs and, tonight's wild card, a jockey making the trip for one ride.
Trainer form
Invincible Diva
6.45 Tipperary
Angle: Jessica Harrington boasts a 25 per cent strike-rate in the last two weeks
Jessica Harrington has saddled ten winners from 40 runners in the past fortnight and has a host of runners at Tipperary and Bellewstown this evening.
Invincible Diva bids for Listed success in the Tipperary Stakes after making all in ready fashion on her second start at Down Royal last month.
Shane Foley’s mount will be suited by this sharp test and is well drawn to go forward from stall four.
Ratings
Lisard Zara
5.25 Bellewstown
Angle: clear best on Racing Post Ratings
The market suggests otherwise but Racing Post Ratings point towards Lisard Zara in the opening 5f maiden on day two of the Bellewstown festival.
The Thomas Cooper-trained juvenile has ran well on all three starts, finishing behind smart types including Ickworth and King Neptune, and comes out on top on RPRs for this six-runner event.
There does not appear to be any rivals of that calibre here and she should go well with top jockey Colin Keane in the saddle.
Wild card
Lady Dancealot
8.00 Newbury
Angle: Mosse makes the trip for one ride
Gerald Mosse had two mounts at Yarmouth this afternoon and makes the trip to Berkshire to keep the ride on Lady Dancealot in the 6f fillies’ handicap.
The David Elsworth-trained four-year-old finished third in a competitive contest at York last time and this is a notable drop in grade.
She is the best horse in the race and can defy topweight at a course she has ran well at in the past.
