'We were delighted with her run' - Honeysuckle still on track for Irish Champion

It was a result that disappointed her legion of followers, but connections of history maker Honeysuckle insist they were delighted with her performance in last weekend's Hatton's Grace Hurdle at Fairyhouse – and a defence of her Irish Champion Hurdle crown remains the plan.
Defeat by two and three-quarter lengths behind Teahupoo and Klassical Dream on Sunday marked a first loss in 17 starts over hurdles for Honeysuckle, who was sent off the 4-11 favourite under Rachael Blackmore.
Owner Kenny Alexander's racing manager Peter Molony was far from disappointed by the wondermare's effort, though, and believes this season's Hatton's Grace field was the strongest Honeysuckle has faced.
