'He's the day’s best bet and has a huge chance' - John Hunt joins the team for another action-packed weekend

Adrian Wall, James Hill, William Hill's Jamie McBride and Megan Nicholls complete the panel

Who wins the Ayr Gold Cup (3.35 Ayr)?

James Hill, tipster I'm taking Two Tribes to complete the rare double of Stewards' Cup-Ayr Gold Cup. The last horse to manage such a feat was Coastal Bluff back in 1996. Two Tribes wouldn't be in his league, although David Barron's sprinter carried 13lb more to victory at Ayr and the selection has already shown he can be seriously competitive off his 8lb higher rating at York last time. He's in a rich vein of form.

John Hunt, commentator Purosangue is both well treated and will love the ground. I’m making a huge assumption that the rain tumbles down as I wouldn’t want to touch him on anything quicker than soft. His record when there is plenty of cut (second to Big Evs in the Molecomb and again second in last year’s Coral Charge) is eyecatching. Having Oisin Murphy back on board is also good news.

Jamie McBride, William Hill Fahrenheit Seven is my token selection in what looks a good running where cases can be made for most. He has probably been laid out for this since changing hands in the summer and is less exposed than most.
