Tracker horses: the names to note, including a promising debutant second

Welcome to Winners In Waiting, our weekly round-up of all the horses noted as being runners to follow by our expert race readers.
The team watches – and writes a descriptive in-running comment for – every horse who runs in Britain and Ireland.
There are three different categories, each relating to a specific in-running comment that is used to denote those who appear most interesting with the future in mind.
Members' Club Ultimate subscribers can add the names of the horses mentioned to their Racing Post Horse Tracker and will then receive email alerts when they are entered or declared again.
On their next start, the horses will be flagged in Signposts, which can be found in the Racing Post newspaper or online as part of Members' Club on raceday.
Non-members can sign up here to get the tracker, race replays and in-depth race analysis, as well as exclusive content from our team of tipsters and writers.
Did well in the circumstances
Arab Cinder
Fifth, Wolverhampton, May 23
Didn't get much of a run through and in the circumstances did well to be beaten a little over two lengths. She's entered at Goodwood on Friday.
Billy Wedge
Second, Newcastle, May 24
Would surely have gone close to making it four course wins were it not for being held up in behind a wall of horses after a modest beginning, doing well to even get second. He's in at Catterick on Friday.
Hope Probe
Third, Chepstow, May 27
Gave himself a lot to do with a poor start but made a decent fist of it, running on late without threatening the winner. He ideally needs another furlong and can win something similar.

Eyecatcher
Nusa Dua
Second, Bath, May 24
Really caught the eye when motoring home from well back and has begun handicaps on a good mark. She ought to sharpen up for this and appreciate an even stiffer test.
Bantry
Second, Gowran, May 24
Took a big step forward from his first handicap attempt at Roscommon, putting in a strong finish and failing by just a neck to get up. He could benefit from a step up to a mile.
Lady Lavina
Fourth, Redcar, May 26
Finished with a flourish despite a troubled passage on her racecourse debut and she is one to note next time.
Skip James
Third, Fairyhouse, May 27
Should benefit enormously from this initial experience. He was green in the preliminaries and in the race he was slowly away, but he made up a lot of ground in the straight. He wasn't given a hard time when his chance of winning had gone.
Reshoun
Fifth, Haydock, May 28
A thorough stayer, he caught the eye under fairly considerate handling over a trip that is a bare minimum minus the headgear. He's on the same mark as when successful in last year's Ascot Stakes over an extra mile at the royal meeting and will presumably be back for a repeat bid there next month.
Rich Rhythm
Third, Salisbury, May 28
The only newcomer in the race, ran green early but would surely have gone close to winning had he not been stopped in his run at a vital stage.

Promising
Cold Case
Second, Carlisle, May 27
Cost 160,000gns as a yearling and was a warm order for his debut [8-11 SP] and he shaped promisingly despite just failing to justify the confidence. The way he moved upsides an above-average filly marks him down as a bright prospect and he should have little trouble picking up a similar event before moving up in grade.
