An ability to handle testing conditions was key in horrendous weather as the Group 3 contests went to horses proven on soft ground in Mujbar and Euchen Glen.

Mujbar stayed on strongly to land the Horris Hill Stakes by a length from Percy’s Lad in the colours of Hamdan Al Maktoum.

The two-year-old was a seven-length winner on soft ground at Newmarket and trainer Charlie Hills was delighted with how he progressed after little went right for him in the Champagne Stakes last time.
